Youth Connections Service Types

Youth Connections service delivery will be characterised by assistance to young people to remian engaged or re-engage with education and/or further training through the provision of individualised case management to overcome personal barriers.  Participants will receive services appriate to their assessed barriers and needs. 

Service delivery is categorised as follows:

Service Type 1 - yong people at school who are most at risk of disengaging from education.  Young people receiving these services may have personal barriers impacting on school participation and behaviour and other factors such as low literacy/numeracy.

Service Type 2 (a) - young people who are in school and who are at imminent risk of disengaging, or have recently disengaged (within the last 3 months) from school or another education environment.

Service Type 2 (b) - young people who are severely disengaged from school, education, training or work, family and community.  It is expected that these young people have not attended school for at least 3 months.
